ARSENAULT, LAWRENCE JR. - (1940 - 2014) - JARDINEVILLE, NB - It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Lawrence Arsenault on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Moncton City Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Harrisville, NB, he was the son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Emerise (Williams) Arsenault. Lawrence served 3 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and was employed as a welder at MFM Industries in Moncton for 35 years. He was a member of the Rexton Golden Age Club. He had a passion for all animals and loved nature and especially feeding the birds. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years; Stella (Savoy) Arsenault of Jardineville, three sons; Larry Arsenault (Kelly) of Jardineville, Kevin Arsenault (Bernice) of Rexton, Ronnie Arsenault (Charline) of Ste. Anne de Kent and his pride and joy three grandchildren; Mathieu (Sylvie), Nicholas and Braden, also his foster daughter Debbie Cyr (David) and their children; Madison, Zach, Isaac and Evan. He is also survived by his mother; Emerise Arsenault of the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, four sisters; Diana Savoy (Freddy), Mabel Savoy (Arnold), Doreen McLaughlin, Betty Cormier (Chris), three brothers; Norman, Albert (Helene), Arnold, brother-in-law; Malcolm Savoy (Juanita) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister; Beulah Savoy and infant brother; Raymond.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Friday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 am, Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Donations in Lawrence's memory may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
