Carl Henry March, of Ingonish, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neils Harbour.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Albert and Annie (Larick) March.
Carl was a member of the Ingonish Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (Hardy); daughters, Cathy (Stuart) Phillips, Cambridge, Ont., Robin Covey, Winnipeg, Man., Crystal March, Sydney, and Katelynn March, Ingonish; sisters, Anita (Peter) Campbell, Sydney, and Sharon (Harold) Bennett, Sydney; grandchildren, Cortney, Bobby, Carla, Sandy, Marc and Michelle; and eight great-grandchildren.
Carl was predeceased by his first wife, Wendy Palmer.
Visitation will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ingonish on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Carolyn Sharp officiating. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Ingonish.
