The death of Katherine Ann Woodley (nee Layton) wife of Shawn Woodley of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, NB, Katherine was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Orlo (Munn) Layton. Katherine worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia in PEI and the Royal Bank in Fredericton as a teller. Katherine is survived by three daughters: Wendy Woodley-Coffin (Douglas) and Angela Stewart all of Fredericton, NB, and Jennifer Stewart-Legacy (Gino) of Moncton, NB; two sons: Steven Stewart of Fredericton, NB, and Christopher Woodley of Florenceville, NB; one sister: Rose Marie Layton of Kingston, ON; four brothers: James “Jim” (Georgina), Gary (Viola ”Vi”), Harold (Diane) all of Miramichi, NB, and Jack (Betty) of Hampton, NB; two grandchildren: Carter and Aly and many nieces and nephews. Katherine is predeceased by sister: Eleanor Hamel and brother: Robert (Bobby). Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring. In Katherine’s memory a donation may be made to the Cancer Society or to a memorial of one’s choice.
