Michael passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Reserve Mines, he was the son of the late Michael and Violet (Chant) McIntyre.
Michael is survived by two brothers, Ray & John R.; a sister, Miriam, all at home and a sister, Donna, Alberta. He is also survived by nephews, Barrie & Bernie McIntyre, Jeffery and Michael Paufler; a niece, Maria Paufler; grandnephew, Mitchell McIntyre; grandnieces, Morgan & Madelaine McIntyre and a great-grandnephew, Mathew.
Michael was predeceased by a brother, Calder and sister, Gerarda in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation or funeral mass. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Reserve Mines.
