DOUSSAUD, CLAUDE JULIEN - It is with deep sadness that the family of Claude Julien Doussaud announce that he passed away peacefully in his sleep at 4:30pm at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 30, 2014. Loving husband of 58 years to Lucette (nee Sauvage) Doussaud, father of Max and wife Dawn Doussaud. Proud grandfather of Steve (Tonja) Doussaud, Marc Doussaud, Josie Doussaud and Max Jr. Doussaud, as well as several great grand children. Survived by his sister Nicole Charnallet of France and pre-deceased by his sister Josette (nee Doussaud) Blanc, son of the late Max Sr. and Maria Doussaud. Claude was born in France on September 17, 1934. He started working at a very young age, and with various levels of responsibility in the Hospitality Industry, from owning his own Restaurant to becoming a Steward for the Norwegian Cruise line up until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to garden.
At the request of the family there will be no public viewing. The funeral service will held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home Chapel, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John (634-7425).
