The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, January 31, 2014, of Theresa Olafson, of Summerside, aged 83 years.
Born in Miscouche, she was the daughter of the late Joseph "Joe" and Jane (Steele) Gaudet. Survived by her nieces and nephews: Sandra (Charles) Gallant; Brenda Arsenault; Murray (Cindy) Gaudet; Gwen MacAusland; Darlene (Urban) Cannon; David (Janet) Gaudet; Susan (Peter) Doucette; special great-grandniece, Alyssa MacLeod-Arsenault; sisters-in-law, Shirley Greene and Adeline Gaudet; numerous greatnieces and nephews and other extended family members. Predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Olafson; brother, Edward Gaudet; and by her sister, Eileen Gaudet.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. St. Paul's Catholic Women's League will hold a prayer service at the funeral home, Monday at 5:45 p.m.
