Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre surrounded by his family, John Hodder, at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly (April 2013); parents: Thomas and Lillian Hodder; and sisters: Mary and Elva. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Joan (nee Lewis); daughter Patty (Johnny); sons: John (Tina) and Tom; grandchildren: Allie, Jessica, Amanda, Jamie, Billy, Johnny, and Aaron; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Aliyah and Breanna; brothers: Harry (Florence), and Tom (Linda); sisters: Francis Crews (Max), Blanch Barrett (Eldred), Violet Crane (Fred), and Lillian Duke (Wally); mother-in-law, Violet Lewis; sister-in-law, Sharon Bramon; brother-in-law, Wayne Lewis; as well as other family and friends - including Jimmy Barron (partner of Kimberly). Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, February 1, and Sunday, February 2, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 3, 2014, at 11:00am, with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 11:00am.
