Helen passed away peacefully at Totem Lodge in Sechelt, B.C. at the age of 97.
Born in Dundee, Scotland she immigrated to Canada with her family as a young child, and grew up in the St. Vital area of Winnipeg.
She was a loyal and astute businesswoman, and worked for the St. Paul Insurance Company for over 30 years.
Her family and friends will lovingly remember Helen as a bright and very generous lady, with a passion for real estate and travel. Even in her 90's she was always ready for a new challenge or adventure.
Predeceased by her first love and husband, James Adrian Cunningham, who lost his life during WWII, and her second husband Arthur Hunter, and her brothers George and Alex Soppet. Helen is survived by her step-brother Edward Woods, her son, grandson, granddaughter and two great-granddaughters, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
We are grateful to the staff at Totem Lodge for the compassionate care Helen received.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held in Sechelt in the coming months.
