ACKER, Isabelle Cora, 85, Roseway Manor, formerly of Birchtown, passed away in Roseway Manor on Monday, February 3, 2014. Born at Enslows Point she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Williams) Buchanan. Isabelle was the post mistress in Birchtown for many years. She was a wonderful, caring mother, grandmother and friend. She always had a generous smile for everyone. Isabelle enjoyed baking, knitting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by son, Sam (Cara), Fall River; daughters, Jeanne Williams, Birchtown; Brenda Harris-Frampton (Eric), Reid`s Hill; brother, Adam Buchanan, Barrington; grandsons, Kyle, Tyler, Christopher, Teygan, Shawn and Cory; granddaughters, Karen, Elaine, Shannon, Katie, Jennifer and Jillian; 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Ancil; son, Mike, son-in-law, Doug Williams, brother, Ralph and sister, Margaret. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Shelburne where the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Dooks officiating. Burial in Mizpah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Roseway Manor Residents Council Fund.
