Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, of Mrs. Laura E. Carter (nee MacRae) of Charlottetown and formerly of Harrington, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Earl V. Carter. Dear mother of Enid Carter of Charlottetown, and sister of Alice Birch of Summerside. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary (Smith) MacRae; brothers and sister, Earle MacRae, Percy MacRae, Janie Younker and Fred MacRae. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. If so desired, contributions in memory of Laura may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre or Park Royal United Church Memorial Fund.
