With heavy hearts, the family of the late Sheldon David Young wish to announce his sudden passing on January 31, 2014 in Fort McMurray, Alberta at the age of 52 years. Sheldon is predeceased by his parents, Hayward & Olive Young of Stephenville Crossing. He is survived by his five siblings: Wayne (Linda), Guelph, Ontario; Gwen (Barry), Stephenville; Georgina, St. John’s; Gary (Donna), Lower Sackville, NS; Hayward (Diane), Stephenville Crossing; nieces and nephews: Allison, Scott, Jennifer, Tony, Bailey, Chad, Lee Anne, Ellen, Todd, Deyne and Stefan; great-nieces and nephews: Madison, Emma, Lucas, Rory, Molly, Alisha, Kristen, Jake, Jessie, Riley, Jordon and Chase; Poppy’s special boy, Parker; as well as his very close friend, Lisa Dunphy. He also leaves to mourn a large number of cousins and friends. He will be missed by his dog, Jigger. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 37 West Street, Stephenville Crossing, on Friday, February 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing, on Saturday, February 8th at 10:00 a.m., Father Edmund Camacho officiating. Inurnment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing. As an expression of sympathy, a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
