Jonathan James Nechvatal passed away peacefully held in his parent's arms early in the morning on February 4th at Royal University Hospital. He will always be lovingly remembered by his parents, Shaun and Katarina (Blazic) Nechvatal and his sisters Eva and Anika and brother Dominic; Great-Grandma Bernice Polowski, Grandparents George and Michelle (Brons) Nechvatal, Rita Cooper, Ivan and Mary Lou (Polowski) Blazic; his aunties and uncles: Michelle Nechvatal, Sharlene and Kelly McNairn, Rob and Angela Fast, Darren and Cathy Blazic, Perry and Patti Blazic, Brent Blazic, and Wayne Blazic; Godparents Brooke and Blake Sittler, and many cousins and other family members. There are no words to express the immense joy that Jonathan brought to our lives and shared with others. He smiled such a warm and heartfelt smile that you couldn't help but smile back. Jonathan's beautiful blue eyes were truly a window to his soul as their depth and joy radiated his love. Anyone who has met Jonathan has no doubt that he knew how immensely he was loved. We are filled with gratitude for the gift of receiving him into our family and for the trust that God has in us that he blessed us with being Jonathan's parents and family. Since before Jonathan was born, Shaun and Katarina have been constantly in awe at the love and affection Eva, Anika, and Dominic gave to him. We are overwhelmed with the compassion and fervour with which our family, friends, and health care professionals have supported us and Jonathan. Funeral to be celebrated on Saturday, February 8th at 1 PM at St. Philip Neri Parish with an interment at a later date. Come and go gathering following the funeral mass at St. Philip elementary school gym adjacent to church from 2-5.
