It is with great sadness, the family of the late Elva Romaine announce her passing on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Bonavista Hospital in her 79th year. Predeceased by her daughter Ruby Durdle: son-in-law Reginald Durdle: parents Grant and Emma Crocker; sisters Maxine Barnes and Gwendline Crocker and brothers Victor and Roy Crocker, brother in law Newman Romaine, sisters in law Gladys Romaine, Geraldine and Elizabeth Crocker. Leaving to mourn with precious, loving memories her husband of 60 years, Fred: son: Garry (Barbara); grandchildren: Christy, Michael (Joanne), Keith (Karen): great grandchildren: Benjamin, Nevaeh, Evan, CJ and Launa: sister: Myra (Gilbert); brothers: Winston (Delores), Ronald (Minnie), Ernie and Wilf (Priscilla); special sister-in-law: Rita; brothers in law George and Victor (Yvette), nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at the United Church, Newman’s Cove. Arrangements entrusted to Strathie’s Funeral Home, Bonavista. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 with interment at the United Church cemetery, Newman’s Cove. In her memory donations may be made to the United Church, Newman’s Cove.
