
Wayne Wills Falle
Falle, Wayne Wills, age 74 of Truro, a well-known Truro Graphic Designer passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. As a young teenager, a former teacher recognized Wayne’s artistic ability and helped in getting him enrolled in NSCAD. After graduating, Wayne’s career began in London On, working for various companies. Wayne returned with his family to Nova Scotia in the 1970’s where he resided in Truro. Wayne was an art teacher at the former Vocational School and then opened Falle Design where he did graphic design for numerous businesses throughout Truro and surrounding area. From 1996-2010, Wayne was known as Santa Claus during the Christmas Season. He portrayed a joyful Santa Claus for the Town of Truro and enjoyed staying in “character” bringing smiles to children’s faces. Later in his career, Wayne composed many sketches of Truro land-marks which he printed and sold. His artwork will be enjoyed by many for years to come. Wayne was a lover of life and his family. He is survived by his wife Gloria; children, Toby (Bill Jodrey), Tom (Marian), Jacqueline (Aaron Allen), Gloria Brenton, and Sarah (Ryan Doucet); grandchildren, Meagan, Andrew, Adele, Alexandra, Allison, Gabbie, Troy, Isaac, Katie, Carter, Ilsa and SoBe; sisters, Sandra (Bill Johnston), Glenda (Raymond Miller); sister-in-law, Marilyn Falle. Wayne was the son of the late Les and Ruby (Wills) Falle. He was predeceased by his first wife Eleanor (Crowell) and his brother David. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life Reception on Saturday, February 15, from 2 to 4pm at the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. Family flowers only. Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
