We, the family of the late Lloyd C. MacPhail, Sydney River, would like to express our sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy and support during our father’s recent illness and passing. In particular, we are grateful for the care provided by Dad’s long-time physician, Dr. Glenn Gracie, Cape Breton County Homemakers, City Homemakers, V.O.N., Dr. Ann Frances D’Intino , Palliative Care Nurses, and Vera, his personal caregiver. We would also like to sincerely thank the many kind neighbours, friends and family for the delicious food, flowers, cards and memorial donations. A very special thank you to Rev. Laurie MacCuish, a dear family friend, who conducted a beautiful memorial service. Thanks also to organist Claire Rogers, choir of the United Protestant Church of Sydney River, and piper Courtney MacPherson for the lovely music. We are very grateful to the Elizabeth Pierce Guild for the wonderful reception following the service. To Wayne Weatherbee and staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel, we will always be grateful for your professional and compassionate service during such a difficult time. Dad lived a long and happy life made richer by his many friendships. We thank you all and will never forget your kindnesses.
