The family of the late Hayward Russell Decker announce his passing on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 in his 82nd year, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Holly (Clevis) Major, Valerie Tucker (Lorne Wicks), both of Pasadena, Wallace (Anne-Marie) of Corner Brook and Ernest (Brenda) of Thunder Bay, Ontario; his nine grandchildren: Christopher, Sheldon, Renee, Jonathan, Stephanie, Adam, Cindy, Kayla and Shelby; seven great-grandchildren: Kaylan, Savannah, Chloe, Peyton, Hannah, Logan and Lacey; one sister, Deborah Laing of Rocky Harbour. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, ­relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Gertrude Decker, on October 17, 2008. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Pasadena on Thursday beginning at 3:00 p.m., where also the funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the family plot.
