Viola LeBlanc

LeBLANC, VIOLA - 1937 - 2014 - Viola LeBlanc, 76, wife of Alcide Melanson of Bouctouche, NB, passed away peacefully at Stella Maris De Ken Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Born October 17, 1937, in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Melida Collette. Viola moved to Leominster, MA for several years before returning to Bouctouche for retirement. Viola is survived by her husband Alcide Melanson, three daughters Murielle Popham and husband Gary, Bernice Britt and husband Robert, both of Gardner, MA and Edithe Mello of Concord, MA, two sons Vincent "Vinnie" LeBlanc and wife Bonnie of Hubbardston, MA, and Reggie LeBlanc of Leominster, MA, nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Also survived by her sister Andrea Bastarache and her husband Sylvio and longtime friends Leontine Collette (Canada) and Bertha Girouard (USA). Viola was predeceased by her husband Harvey D. LeBlanc in 2002, her son Arthur "Joe" LeBlanc of Florida in 1996 and her brother Norman Collette of Bouctouche.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Jean Baptiste Parish, 19 Irving Blvd., Bouchouche, NB on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 4:00pm. Memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fairhaven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton (506) 852-3530.
