January 14, 1936 ~ January 30, 2014
Raimo Ilppo Partanen, 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with his Lord Jesus on January 30, 2014 quietly and peacefully with his wife and a family friend singing to him at his home in Gibsons.
Raimo was born in Karelia, Eastern Finland, on January 14, 1936.
Raimo will be greatly missed by his wife, Marja, of 44 years, son Kari Steven, daughter Mirva Stephanie, and grandchildren Dillon, Jacob and Lev. The family would like to thank Dr. J. McFarland, Dr. S. Kennae, Home Support staff, the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society, and members of Christian Life Assembly and friends for their excellent support for Raimo and Marja.
A Celebration Raimo’s life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Christian Life Assembly, 730 School Road, Gibsons. 
In lieu of flowers, the family have requested that donations be made to Mercy and Caring Children’s Homes (in Kenya), Great Commission Media Ministry or the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.
