Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Winnifred H. "Winnie" Oliver of Burnt Point, age 86 years. Winnie was the last child of the late Elinas and Elizabeth (Pye) Oliver. Predeceased by her husband, Allan George, brothers: Jack, James, Adolphus, Berkley, Raymond, Eli, Ishmael and Mark, sisters: Maud, Myrtle and Lily. Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are her devoted children: Olga (Selby) Milley, Western Bay, Loretta (Arthur) Oates, Carbonear, Allan 'Junior' (Maureen), Burnt Point, Valerie (Weldon) Peddle, Mount Pearl, Cynthia Oliver, Burnt Point, Barry (Linda) and Cheryl (Todd) Morgan, both of St. John's; fourteen cherished grandchildren and eight treasured great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Elsie Oliver, England and Maisie Oliver, Burnt Point, also a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay until 9:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point.
