Originally from Tacks Beach, Placentia Bay, NL. Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family on February 12, 2014 at the Escasoni complex, age of 89 years. Predeceased by her husband William F. Penney; parents Walter and Ethel (nee Brown) warren; sister Mabel Upshall. Leaving to mourn daughter Shirley (Gregory Belleau), brothers: Fred Warren (Lorraine) of Whitbourne, Eugene Warren (Leah) of Fortune, sister Ivy Hancock (Spencer) of Dunville; brother-in-law Freeman Upshall of Placentia also many nephews, nieces and cousins. The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at 3 west Escasoni for their kind and compassionate care. Resting at Barrett's funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 10am - 11am. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:00am. Interment will be held at the Dunville Anglican Cemetery, Dunville following the service. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's memory may be made the charity of one's choice.
