HANSEN, ARNOLD WILLIAM - Arnold Hansen, 79, of Bass River, with his wife, Frances, by his side, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Hardwick, NB, he was the son of the late William and Delvina (Poirier) Hansen. Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Frances Hansen; children, Michael (Jackie), Karen Garvie (Everett), Tracy Blanche (Lorne) and Rick Hayes (Lila); grandchildren, Kezia MacKinnon (Jude), Brittany Garvie and Matthew Blanche; great-grandchild, Myree MacKinnon; brothers, Jerry (Rose) and Leo (Marjorie). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Doris (Larry) and his two brothers, Olaf (Alida) and Paul (Betty). Arnold loved working at Taylor Ford and worked for the Ford Company for 50 years until the present. Arnold also owned his own business, “Arnie’s All Purpose Seasoning”. He also enjoyed spending time with Frances, family, friends, boating, snowmobiling and entertaining. He had a special love of his German Shepherds through the years and especially his latest love, Heidi.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with visitation hours on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. Cecil Symes to officiate. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
