Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, February 14, 2014 of Beth E. MacEwen of Hemlock Ct. and formerly of St. Peter’s Harbour, age 91 years. Wife of the late Gordon E. MacEwen. Loving mother of Alfred (Ginny), Vonda (Archie) Cameron and Dianne (the late Preston) Bowley. Nanny of 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Gladys Drake and a special aunt of Irene Cairns. Predeceased by her parents Ronald and Hilda Drake; sisters Annie Smith, Georgie Johnson, Sevilla Chandler, Grace Ferguson, Alice Gibb and brothers Seldon, Irving and Eldon Drake; step-sister Ruth Diamond and step-brothers Earl, Fred and Jim Drake. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment later in West St. Peter’s Cemetery.
