Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at St. Clare's, Bernard Evans, age 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Eileen (nee Hanlon) 2004, brother Kevin and sister Betty, and sister-in-law Molly. Leaving to mourn his son Bernie (Debbie Dillon); daughters: Michelle Evans-Randell (Rune Ekeberg); Ceanne, Cindi Evans-Adamecz (Laszlo); 9 grandchildren: Daniella, Seana, Meghan, Leigha, Brad, Lauren, Celina, Andreas and Simone, brothers: Mike, Derm (Nellie), Frank (Doreen); sisters: Mary (Bob), Helen (Ches); Joan (Bert), also a large circle or relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. -9 p.m. and Monday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church, on Patrick St. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
