RAMOS, MARIA ASCENSION - Surrounded by her family the death of Maria Ramos, wife of the late Domingo Ramos occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was born on May 15, 1935 in Figulara de Abajo, Spain to her late parents, Antonio and Francisca. She came to Canada from Spain in 1967. Maria was a devoted wife and mother, she loved spending time with her family and having family gatherings. She adored her only grandchild, Marcus. Maria had a kind heart and was always willing to give a warm embrace to anyone. She had a special spot in her heart for her pets and loved all animals and had a passion for dancing. Maria is survived by her beloved son, Tomas 'Tom' (Christine) of Saint John; grandson, Marcus; sisters: Valentina and Lourdes and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brothers: Martin, Elias and Santiago.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 306 Somerset Street on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 9:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
