Arnold Dennis Taylor, a resident of Sydney, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bertha (Barter) Taylor.
Arnold was formerly employed as a firefighter with the CBRM for 35 years. In his early days he was employed at Cape Breton Dairy.
Arnold being a devoted family man is survived by his loving wife and best friend Catherine. A loving father to his son Stephen (Lisa) and daughters, Sheryl (Doug) MacLean and Stacey (Allan) MacEachern. Papa survived by his grandchildren Ashley and Ian Taylor, Christina and Michael MacLean and Aaron and Emily MacEachern; great-grandchildren Jayden and Matthew Taylor. He also leaves behind his siblings Doreen Mackey and Janet (Charlie) Foxe and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Bob Mackey and nephew Lee Foxe.
Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Arnold’s life at Sydney Memorial Chapel in the reception area from 2-4 p.m on Tuesday February 18, 2014.
