(1929 - 2014) - Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on February 16, 2014. Ida Squires aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Squires and daughters Rhonda Thornley and Shirley Squires. Left with cherished memories daughters: Rhona (Brian) Oldford, Rosalind Squires-Briffett (Brian); six grandchildren whom she adored: Annette (Kenny), Angela (Sean), Christopher, Matthew, Andrew (Victoria), and Zachary along with five great grandchildren Kadin, Molly, Vaida, Chase, William; sister Dodie Brown and son-in-law Phillip Thornley. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre and staff at Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre as well as Dr. Heather Woodland. A private family interment will take place at the Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road. Donations in Ida's memory may be made to the Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
