Passed away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Thursday Feb 13th, 2014. Blanche STURGE of Gambo, formerly of Safe Harbour, at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her parents Abraham and Mary Blackwood, Husband James Sturge, daughter Elizabeth Sturge, son Eric Sturge, Grandson Duane Head, brother Raleigh Blackwood, sister Josephine Blackwood, Florence Blackwood and Minnie Blackwood, She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: daughters Loretta Head(Eugene), Beverly Preston (Chesley), Wanda Fewer (Fred); sons Jordan (Gwennie), Clyde (Myrtle), Wayne (Valerie) and Jim (Itziar); brother Andrew Blackwood (Beryl), sister Hettie Mitchell (Russell – deceased), Priscella Collins (Simon – deceased), Verna Lane (Verdon), 21 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, also many other relatives and friends, resting at Pritchett’s Funeral Home, Gambo. Funeral service on Sunday Feb 16th, 2014 at 2:00pm at Emmanuel United Church, Gambo. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Emmanuel United Church, Gambo.
