It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Mary Jackson announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center on Sunday, February 16th, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her two sons: Mike (Natalie) in Sops Arm, David in Stephenville; one daughter, Marilyn (Martin) Hynes in Port au Port West; two brothers: Charles (Fidelis) in Stephenville, Junior “Dave” (Pat) in Robinsons; four precious grandchildren: Renee (Sean) Hickey, Aaron, Adam, Tyler and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Victor & Beatrice Jackson; three brothers: Vic, Gord, Tom; five sisters: Anita, Queen, Evelyn, Pearl and Audrey. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, February, 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Pentecostal Church on Carolina Ave., Stephenville, with interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
