The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, of Mary Anne Corrigan of Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op and formerly of St. Peter and St. Paul aged 89 years. Wife of the late Wilfred Corrigan. She was born in DeBlois on May 11, 1924, the daughter of the late Lamabe and Ida Arsenault. She is survived by her sons and daughters Gerard (Kathleen) Arsenault, Charlottetown; Delilah Corrigan, Tignish; Wayne (Frances) Corrigan, Alberton; Wilson (Pam) Corrigan, Alberton; Jacinta (Carl) Gaudet, St Peter & St. Paul; and Vernon Corrigan, Calgary. Loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Marie Doucette, Tignish. She was predeceased by her parents Lamabe and Ida, husband Wilfred, son Dana, daughter Mary and a special friend Freddie Wedge. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 12-1:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 2 p.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Arthur Sequeira. Interment later in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society or Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary, would be greatly appreciated.
