Harold Arthur Langille

Harold Arthur Langille, River John (October 15th, 1950 – February 15th, 2014)
Harold Arthur Langille was a brilliant man. Humble, compassionate, sincere, and witty until the very end. He was always so very proud of his children and his wife, and loved them immensely. His children heard the words, “Man, you have a cool Dad” on so many occasions. He was a skilled joke teller and when he knew his time was coming referred to his life as “Spectacular”. His dream was to be behind the wheel of a classic convertible with the top down, his arm around his wife driving up the Sunrise Trail on a hot sunny day. Harold loved music, and instilled rhythm and blues in his family. To hear him play the harmonica was a privileged experience that you could not forget. Hunting, fishing and the great outdoors were his remedies, and his children and wife follow in his footsteps. He was a past member of the River John Volunteer Fire Department and loved off-roading with his Jeeps. Harold’s incredible artistic talent and creativity knew no end. A graphic designer by trade, his work can be seen in many respected logos to this day. His brothers and sisters admired and respected him greatly. He was always their go-to guy. Harold passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, the way he wanted it. He is pre-deceased by his father James Arthur, mother Lucy Doris Margeurite, step-father David Bruce and sister Judy Elaine. He lives on through his wife of 29 years Valarie, children Arlette (Jay), Kelsey (Brock), and Jaret (Emma). His sister, Joan (David), brother, Boyd (Gloria), sister, Shauna (Kevin), and step-mother, Gerry (Carl). A private family service will be held in River John. A Celebration of Life will take place on March 1, 2014 at the River John Legion from 5pm to 10pm where all are welcome to share their memories and have a good time. It bothered Harold greatly knowing that there were children fighting the same battle as he was, therefore donations can be made to the IWK Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche. Online condolences can be forwarded to the family by visiting the funeral home website at: www.mmcfunerals.com
