CROWELL, Milledge Earl – age 85, of the Villa St. Joseph du Lac, and formerly of Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away February 18, 2014 at the Villa. Born in Kemptville on April 8, 1928 he was a son to the late Matthew and Georgina (Prime) Crowell. Milledge was a loving father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He had a great love for music and played many different instruments with his nieces and nephews. He was a woodsman in his early years, later working at, and retiring from, Allwood Products. He also liked the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. Milledge is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by son, Stan (Sheri), Wellington; grandchildren, Kyle, Raegan, and Jevan; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Russell, Paul, Thorpe; sisters, Lena, Adra. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel where a funeral was held at 2 p.m., Rev. Rick Warner officiated. Cremation took place with interment following in East Kemptville Cemetery on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Donations in Milledge’s memory may be made to the I.W.K Health Science Foundation.
