MacARTHUR, EVERETT STANLEY - Everett S. MacArthur, 58, of Grangeville, passed away at his residence on Monday, February 17, 2014. Born in Rexton, he was the son of Evelyn (Hannah) and the late James MacArthur. Everett was a heavy equipment operator with Kent Building Supplies and the Owner / Operator of MacArthur’s Minnie Digger, Grangeville. He was a former member of the NB Horse Pullers Association, a volunteer with the Beersville and Harcourt Fire Departments, loved horses, drag racing, camping, classic cars and spending time with his family and friends. Everett will be sadly missed by his wife, best friend and soul mate of seven years, Nancy (Jones); children, Lori-Jo MacArthur (Roland Doucet) of Aldouane, Corey MacArthur (Nicole) of Moncton, Holly MacArthur (Dwayne Whitford) of Coal Lake, AB; step-son, Jason Matthews of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Jessica, Hailey, Trent, Chloe, Justin, Calder; brother, Greg MacArthur (Marilyn) of Grangeville; sister, Lisa MacArthur of Ontario; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Don Jones and niece, Amanda.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Everett will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Dr. Leo Gallant officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Grangeville Baptist Church Cemetery in the spring.
