Marion Elizabeth Stanley age 98 of Amherst passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 15, 2014.
Born April 6, 1915, Marion was a daughter of the late George and Rebecca (Boone) Watson.
Marion worked at Zeller’s in the fabric Department for ten years, after her children were grown up.
She was an active member of the Amherst Wesleyan Church for many years.
In her spare time, Marion enjoyed sewing and spending precious time with her family.
Marion will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, John (Marilyn), Beaver Bank, NS; daughters, Judith Martin, Dartmouth, NS and Gail (Richard) LeBlanc, Amherst; grandchildren, Ricky LeBlanc, Kim Hall, Sherry Swanwick, and Karen Luddington; great grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Chelsea, Justin, Tyler, Luke, Nathaniel, Mackayla, Bradley and Rielly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Marion was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her parents; brother, Harold; and sisters, Ethel Long, Marguerite Hurley and Ruby Gagnon; infant grandson, Michael.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
