Moe (Morris) Conrad Meier-September 8, 1948-Feb 10, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Moe Meier, aged 65, in Richmond, BC, formerly of Moose Jaw. Moe passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home of “natural causes probably heart disease,” according to the Coroner’s report. Moe completed his formal education in Moose Jaw and worked for the Iron Workers Union, Local 97 for 43 years. He enjoyed the many job sites he had worked on, the many friends he made and the experiences he had. Moe was a very likeable person and had a great sense of humour. He is predeceased by his wife Pam (Fowler), and his parents, Frank and Marie Meier, and Pam’s parents, Stan and Bev Fowler. He is survived by his children, Cade, and Morgan (Sean), of Richmond and Vancouver, his three brothers, two sisters and their children, and grandchildren: Alfred (Lena) Meier, Portage, MB, Agnes (Roy) Thompson, Saskatoon, Ray (Kay) Meier, Swift Current, Lorrie Gamble (Larry) in Moose Jaw, and Len (Jean) Meier, Regina as well as his many friends and acquaintances. Moe is also survived by Pam’s three siblings Marg, Pat and Gord. A Celebration of Moe’s Life will take place on March 1st in Vancouver.
