passed away peacefully at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Thursday, February 20th, 2014, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband John; sisters Jessie, Ivy, and Christie; and brothers Lewis, Bert, Reg, and Max. Left to celebrate her life are her children Cyrus (Mary), Carolyn (Randell Edwards), and Frank (Cathy); her sisters Joyce, Anna, and Vera; her brothers Robert, Leo, Tom, Lowell, Forsey, and Edwin; her sister-in-law Bernice; her grandchildren John, Paul, Stephen, Cathy, Renée, Clinton, David, Grant, and Laura; her great-grandchildren Maggie, Thomas, Harry, James, Ella, Annabelle, Vivian, and Meika; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A memorial fund will be established to honor her memory at St. Matthew's Church, St. Lawrence. Cremation has already taken place at her request. A service of thanksgiving will take place at St. Matthew's Church, St. Lawrence at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014.
