MacLEAN, David Christopher – 54, East Mountain, passed away suddenly, as the result of a heart attack, on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Born November 5, 1959, in Caledonia, Queens County, he was a son of the late Harvey and Muriel (Joudrey) MacLean. David worked with W.M.B. Trucking until August 2013. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and cheering on #88 and bowling with the North River Bowling League on Saturday nights. David is survived by his fiancée, Judy Joy; step-daughters, Felicia Joy (Eddie Currie), Onslow Mountain; Susan “Susie” Joy, Truro; step-grandchildren, Emma Currie, Maytia Currie; several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews; Faye’s daughters, Chrissy and Pam, Truro. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where David’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014, funeral service 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Pastor Darrell Dykens officiating.
