Words cannot express our gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we received from family, friends and neighbors following Ronnie’s sudden passing. Thanks to all who attended his wake and funeral, sent flowers, Mass and sympathy cards, memorials, monetary gifts, and expressed condolences via phone, email and online. Thanks to those who sent food, visited and travelled far to be with us during this time. Each and every act of kindness warmed our hearts and we are most grateful. Thank you to Father Jim Oliver for officiating the Mass, assisted by Father Joe MacNeil, and for their prayers and kind words. A special thank you to Ronnie’s sister-in-law, Sherry Nugent, for her touching words prior to the service. To the pallbearers, readers, offertory bearers, St. Theresa’s Church Choir with soloist Patsy Murgatroyd, thanks for your participation in the beautiful service. Our deepest appreciation to the Canadian Coast Guard College for honoring the family with a beautiful lunch and tour of their facility and for the honor guard at the service. Thank you to the staff of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel for their exceptional professionalism, compassion and guidance through our difficult time.
Ronnie’s life ended too soon, but if the friends he made, the people he inspired and the love he shared are any measure of success, it was a life well-lived. It warmed our hearts to know he touched so many lives.
Always remember Ronnie’s words of advice to us all - “Live in the moment.”
