Stella Jean Bursey went home to be with her Lord & Savior whom she loved and served faithfully on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Long Term Care Unit in Corner Brook in her 83rd year. She is lovingly remembered by her family, children: Mavis (Christopher) Fillier of Deer Lake, Marilyn (Edwin) Stratton of Fredericton, NB, Rocklen (Cindy) of Brampton, Ontario, Bob (Betty) of Bradford, Ontario, Pam (Lloyd) Tulk, Suzanne (John) Simms, Lola (Fred) Sooley, Brenda (Derek) Fudge and Brent (Wendy) all of Deer Lake; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Her sisters: Nellie Adams, Vera (Bob) Boyle, Edna (Calvin) Nichols, and Melva (Reg) Hillier. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Judson, parents Mabel & Isaac Eddy, mother and father-in-law Robert & Janet Bursey, brother-in-law Gus Adams Sr. and her sister and brother-in-law Bernice & Ralph Anstey. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake, Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Church on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating.
