(Jack) Passed peacefully away in his 85th year at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex on March 14, 2008. Predeceased by his special daughter Cynthia, 1983; parents John and Mary (Bishop); brothers William, Victor, Graham and Jimmy; sisters Susie Greenland, Mary Badcock and Leah Chipman. Left to mourn his wife of fifty-nine years Emmie; sons Doug, Gary (Glenda); daughter Jackie Spracklin (Ron); seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Matthew, Kristen, Jennifer, Jonathan, Danny Jamie and Stefanie; sister Gladys Rose - Port aux Basques; sister-in-law Ruby Mercer, Beulah Mercer, Jean Mercer (Dave); brother -in-law Gordon Mercer (Lorraine) and Gerald Mercer; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A sincere thank you to the staff of EAST 1 HOYLES for their care and compassion. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday from 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Central United Church, Bay Roberts on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Bay Roberts.
