Peacefully, at Beach Grove Home, on Monday, February 24, 2014, James Leo Tierney of New Haven, age 84 years.
Dear father of Karen Roche (Clarence), Michael (Ann), Paul (Sandra), Patsy Gauer (Rudy), Marilyn DiBenedetto (Gino) and Cindy. Grandfather of Tara, Craig, Jackie, Alex, Corey, Spencer, Duncan, Logan, Taryn, Luke, Carly and James. Great-grandfather of Aby, Jaxton, Olivia, Carson, and Charlotte. Survived by his sister, Mary Carragher, and his sisters-in-law, Ida, Josie and Eleanor Tierney. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Tierney (nee McGinn); by his son, Allan; by his parents, Gus and Bertha Tierney; by his brothers, Louis, Joe and Gerald; and by his brother-in-law, Louis Carragher.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 10:15 a.m. then to St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Emyvale, for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment later in St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
