The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, November 7, 2008, of Mr. Reginald “Reg” Reid of Charlottetown and formerly of Murray Harbour North, age 82 years. Dear husband of the late Margaret (MacDonald) Reid. Beloved father of Barclay (Helene), Malcolm, Paula (John) Ling and Ann (Billy) Jameson. Reg is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Max, Caroline and Sam Reid; Reid, Malcolm and Jon Thomas Ling; Reggie, Maggie and Derek Jameson; sisters and brothers Ethel Sweeney, Priscilla Richards, Sterling Reid and Gordon (Margaret) Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters Lloyd, Rena Stewart, Alexia King, Ivan, Gordon (in infancy), Stewart and Annie Reid. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home until Tuesday afternoon, then transferred to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Sherwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorial tributes in Reg’s memory may be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church or charity of choice.
