LOUGHERY, L. IRENE - With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of L. Irene (Hagerman) Loughery, loving wife of the late Murray Loughery, which occurred on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Kings Way Care Centre surrounded by family. Born 1931 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude (Gallop) Hagerman. Irene was a veteran of the RCAF. She is survived by her son Duncan (Lisa) Loughery of Quispamsis; brothers Raymond (Eloise) of St. Mary’s, ON and Ronald (Lonnie) of Campbell River, BC; sister Sharon Pond of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren Jordan and Joshua Loughery; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law Leslie Pond. The family would like to thank the nurses of Kings Way Care Centre for the wonderful care shown to Irene over the last 18 months.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1 pm. Interment in Browns Cemetery at a later date. The family would appreciate donations to Browns Cemetery or the charity of the donor's choice.
