At the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, on Thursday, February 27, 2014, of Roberta Margaret Oakes-Stordy (nee Currie), of Westmoreland, age 84 years. Beloved wife of George W. Stordy. Dear mother of Lowell (Susanne) Oakes, Nancy Oakes, Joanne (Garland) Stetson, and Leslie (Valerie) Oakes. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and dear sister of Fred (Heather) Currie. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Currie (nee MacDonald), son Blois Oakes, sister Annie (Roy) Campbell, and brothers Seymour and Melvin Currie. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, with visiting hours Friday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service from the South Shore United Church, Tryon, Rte. 10, Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to PCH Foundation or charity of choice. Interment to take place later in Westmoreland Cemetery.
