The death occurred at his home in New Haven, on Sunday, March 2, 2014, of John Warkentin, age 61.
John was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Marchbank). He was the father of Steven (Cynthia Perkins), Lisa, Peter (Lynda Hebert), Tim (Andrea), Tony, and Stephanie (Jonathan MacEachern); and grandfather of four. John is survived by his father, Peter Warkentin; sisters, Paula Hienze, Carla Arsenault (Robert) and Wendy Carter (Lionel); brother, Terry; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion Hole (Fred), Marg Wood (Tom), Gerry Bowes (Ian), Junior (Linda), Vernon (Gayle), Gary, Debbie Loosdrecht (John), Susan Abou Risk (George), and Christopher (Margaret); and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Bernice (Collette) Warkentin; and his father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Barbara (McAllar) Marchbank.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place in the Father Claire Macdonald Lounge from 9:45 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
