Larkin, Wencil of Quincy November 10, 2008. Beloved husband of 51 years to Ann Larkin. Loving father of Catherine Manganello of Dorchester, Donna Wahlberg of Hubbardston, Charlie Larkin of Newport, Ore.; Carol Larkin of Casco, Me.; David Larkin of Squantum, and Eileen Earley of Smyrna, Ga. Brother of Desmond Larkin of Farmington, P.E.I.; Eileen Kingsbury of Elmira, N.Y., and the late A.J. Larkin, Paul Larkin, Muriel Larkin and Gwen Druhan. Also lovingly survived by many grandchildren. Mr. Larkin worked as a carpenter for Joe McIsaac Construction in Quincy for many years and helped found Larkin Hathaway, Inc. Sheet Metal Contractors in Bridgewater in 1989 where he worked until 2007. He enjoyed collecting baseball caps and violins which he also restored. Mr. Larkin and his family enjoyed summering in Cable Head, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass and burial will take place in Canada. Donations in memory of Mr. Larkin may be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit, Marina Bay Skilled Nursing, 2 Seaport Dr., Quincy, Ma. 02171. Mr. Larkin will then be transferred to the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris, P.E.I., for visiting hours to be held from the Dr. Roddie MacDonald Community Centre in St. Peters Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral to be held Saturday morning from St. Peters Bay Roman Catholic Church with funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
