BASKER, Leo Martin – age 89, Yarmouth, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 in the QEI Health Sciences Centre (Infirmary Site), Halifax. Born in North Sydney, he was the son of Alex and Veronica Basker. Leo was a veteran of the second World War, having also served with the RCAF from 1951 to 1963. He is survived by his daughter, Veronica Basker and by two grandchildren, all of Winnipeg, as well as by his former wife, Marilyn Butler, Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, William, John, Alex, Tom and Daniel, all of North Sydney. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M.
