HELEN ALP
August 15, 1931 - March 1, 2014
Helen (Elena) left her home in Greece at a young age and began working in Germany, where she met her husband, Edip. The couple immigrated to Canada in 1966, landing first in Montreal, and eventually settling in BC.
Helen was a strong, resilient woman, loyally devoted to her husband (2004) and three sons. Along with her smile, she will be remembered fondly for her humanitarianism and her many voluntary contributions to the Town of Gibsons. She loved the town and was enriched by the generosity displayed by this entire community.
In the last days of her life, Helen was cared for by the kind and compassionate staff at St. Mary's Hospital. Her family would like to thank St. Mary's staff for their dedication.
Until they meet again, Helen will be deeply missed by her sons Victor, Richard (Berenice) and Edward (Joelle), as well as her many friends.
Join us as we mark Helen's passing at Devlin Funeral Home in Gibsons, on Friday, March 7at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer Society in Helen's name.
