HOBART, RICHARD - Richard Renfrew Hobart died peacefully in Fredericton March 3, aged 83, after a brief struggle with pneumonia. Dick earned a B.Eng. from UNB, where he met his life-long love, Lorna Jean Currie (d. 2009). He is survived by his children: Richard Hobart Jr. (Dianne), Pembroke; G. Michael Hobart (Heather), and granddaughter Alexandra, Toronto; Heather Hobart (Anne), Fredericton; and Elizabeth (Zab) Hobart, Toronto. He is also survived by brother David Hobart (Leslie), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents George and Marguerite, sister Mary and brother George. Consummate entertainers, Dick and Lorna enjoyed over 40 years at their house on Grosvenor Ave in Mtl, and summers with extended family at Eagle Mountain, Vt. A gentleman to the end, and master of the one-liner, Dick was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Service to take place Saturday, March 8 at 4 pm at the Church of St Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath at Sherbrooke W, Montreal.
