Amy 'Vera' Hansen
The death occurred at the Stewart Memorial Long Term Care, Tyne Valley, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 of Amy “Vera” Hansen (nee Pridham), Tyne Valley, aged 95, wife of the late Edwin Hansen. Born in Montrose on October 7, 1918, daughter of the late Hudson and Beatrice (Leard) Pridham. Dear mother to Bill, Ayr, Ont; Frank (Barb), Tyne Valley and Donna (Neil) MacKendrick; Tyne Valley . Loving grandmother to special granddaughter Tania (Bruce) Foreman, Ayr, Ont; Jeff (Lori) MacKendrick, Tyne Valley; Jerry (Kathy Coyle) MacKendrick, Tyne Valley; Joel MacKendrick, Ayr, Ont; Evan Hansen, Fredericton, NB; Curtis Hansen, Fort McMurray, AB and Darren (Lindsay) Hansen, Charlottetown. Great grandmother to Blake and Bradley Foreman, Deziray Coyle, Riley MacKendrick, Scarlet Hansen, Logan and Sophie MacKendrick. Vera is also survived by sisters in law Marion Pridham, Alberton; Marie Pridham, Summerside, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, husband Edwin (1993), daughter Florence Sanderson (1992), sister Evelyn (Ken) Gordon, brothers Ken (Lois) Pridham; Bert (Margery) Pridham; Hillard Pridham; Reginald Pridham; twin sister at birth; brother in law Fred (Sarah) Hansen and sister in law Bernice (Andrew) Gass. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours Monday March 10th from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service Tuesday March 11th at 10:30 in the Chapel. Interment to follow in the Tyne Valley United Church Cemetery. In memory of Vera, memorials to the Stewart Memorial Health Centre Auxiliary or to the Tyne Valley United Church would be appreciated.
