Passed peacefully away at the age of 91 years on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Glenbrook Lodge in the presence of her family who loved her dearly. Predeceased by her husband William in 1998; her parents Peter and Ellen Lawlor; brother Martin and sisters Bernice (John Will Brazil) and Anna (Ambrose Quinn); also many brothers and sisters-in-law and extended family members. Celebrating her life are her children, sons-in-law and grandchildren: Bill Power Jr., Marian and Ambassador David Devine; Margie, Joe, Joseph and Maria Janson; and Meghan and Vanessa Widdup; sister-in-law Martha Sullivan; roommate Lorraine Haye; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church, Mundy Pond Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Donations in Mary's memory may be may to a charity of one's choice.
